In Reply to: Drive through EV battery swapping? Too sensible! posted by JDK on May 6, 2024 at 04:18:57:
...no one with their brand-new Tesla wanted to swap-out their battery with one of questionable age/useage/possible degradation. The single most expensive component in any EV is the battery. The vehicle's value is largely dependent on the condition of the battery.
Battery swaps are convenient, but who wants to de-value their vehicle with a replacement battery of unknown history? Warranty/guarantee or not, it's like going out with a prostitute--you'll never know what you'll get.
"And today is for sale and it's all you can afford. Buy your own admission. The whole things got you bored. Well the Lord chooses the good ones, and the bad ones use the Lord"--a very dear friend for decades Michael Stanley (Gee)--RIP
