this idea supposes all batteries are of equal value, which isn't true with individual ownership. A well cared for battery being swapped for one used in repeated high wear conditions, even when fully charged, wouldn't make me happy. because any battery needs care , some guys know how to optimize battery life an do it, others only fast charge or let them run low frequently.
would you want to change your phone battery with another used one, no questions asked? not if function is critical to you. with automotive use, battery condition greatly effects value.
