same deal., some people care for their machines better than others, even if not owned, check how end of lease cars are handled. .

I live in the wide open spaces of the west, provided I get over the sierras first . I might be screwed if I got a used battery that passed specs but couldn't go the distance of a battery that exceeded specs by being in optimal condition.

it's all speculation anyway, my society is used to a variety of choices in the automotive market place, so interchangeable shapes are not possible with known tech.

. when I was in communist Russia, my only exposure to a closed market place, they sold one hand drill. it was a heck of a drill , heavy and bulletproof looking, suitable for any commercial use by the look of it, but I only need the much cheaper light duty drills.
