Perhaps THIS is the solution charging, if exchanging batteries for a "full one" took 5 min or less, that solves the waiting game to charge.
Batteries could be rotated like a propane or other compressed gas tanks are until they reach service life. It would be easy for the battery to keep track of your driving habitats and charge you accordingly. The modern EV batteries are much more than just a battery.
