I liked mammouth: no pretention - just good industrial food such as battery chicken and hormone fed beef. WISYWIG.

I agree with you on Auchun - not the same. Like a peasant trying too hard to be posh. Are you down there? have you seen their wine list? with the Parker notes? One hasn't lived until one has made the opening of an Auchan the day La Foire aux Vins starts.

PS: I had a bottle of Jean Macle Vin Jaune Château Chalon 1992, and this stuff is absolutely super. Special, but super. BTW, Trousseau, is that a grape? I always wondered.
