I've never thought that much of the Coillure from Parcé and think the recent vintages of Banyuls are just good, nothing else. I think this estate was already resting on its laurels.

I tasted a Coillure last summer from a micro-estate in biodynamie that was just sensational. The grower had decided to stop making Banyuls as they considered it a waste of good juice for the tourist trade. And the Banyuls market is dominated the local coop, which is a very effective marketeer and keeps all the prices down.

Anyhow, I have to find the name of these people again. Unfortunately, they were not interested in exporting to America, but there wine was just sensational.
