Hi,
We have decided to go digital and we are looking at the Canon ixus v.
We will only be using it for family postcard size shots. Has anyone had any experiance with the Canon ixus range? Our budget is around AUD $1000 and any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Follow Ups:
Havn't had experience of this camera, however on paper it looks a very good digital camera and if up to canon's normal standard then should suit your needs.
Only disadvantage I can see is limited focal length of lens approx 35~70mm (35mm equiv) and obviously no interchangeable lenses, but then you would have to pay more for this. Perhaps you can try one in a good shop and download some pics to a floppy to view at home, if they have the facilities, or buy with money back or exchange. There is a lot of choice out there.
P.S. I use Nikon SLR and also Canon T90. Not gone digital, probably never will.Redcoat.
