model. Better luck with a D-SLR type Nikon D40 or Canon400D and a lens can be added such as a wider 12mm.

can you just recommend a digital camera that can do this ?thank you.
model number.
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33 that has a lens that is equivalent to 28mm in 35mm film format. However, this is not just real wide, just the widest I have seen on small digicams. If you really NEED to go wide then your only option is a DSLR probably. For example the Canon Rebel XTi with the Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens. That will give you the equivalent of about 16-45mm lens in 35mm format. This lens/camera combo runs about $1300 all over the internet.
