In Reply to: Real nice and sharp shots- isn't that a great lens 24-120 & D70's my fav combo too. posted by Joe M on May 31, 2006 at 04:37:58:
..........I have to admit that it's a really convenient lens especially when on the go. It seems to be at its sharpest between F8 and F11. I got the lens when putting together a kit for my F100 about 5 or 6 years back. I liked the wide angle setting it gave on that camera. Unfortunately with the D70s it becomes more like a 36mm on a film or full frame slr. Which is still ok. So now I'm taking a slightly different perspective and having pretty good fun.
A while back I spurged on a 60mm Nikkor Micro 1:2.8D. Used it to take the above photo. I like the sharpness this lens affords much better than the 24-120....but the versatility of the zoom makes it pretty close to essential.Anyway, thanks for the link and I'll check that out.

Got to love any photos of the wonderful Ortofon. Here's mine on the SME spinning Floyds The Division Bell. Taken with a Canon G6 with alas the front lettering nearly blown, we learn by our mistakes and i'm always learning.
Ahhh, another happy Jubilee owner. I've had mine working for one week. I have to say, I'm one happy vinyl spinner. Really nice sound and an excellent tracker.
Above is a pic I took last weekend.
