A couple of years ago I inquired about Ipod compatable car radios and was told the only one available was from Alpine (and quite expensive).
I gather this has changed. Can any one suggest a decent moderately priced unit (under $500 USD). I'm thinking that something that is does satelite radio, is Ipod compatable and has decent sound quality would be just the ticket. On the other hand just an Ipod compatable amp would also be fine (if such a thing exists).

I've had iPods for years and dealt with the cables hanging everywhere because no one made an iPod interface I was happy with. It's not as perfect as the iPod's interface, but it's as close as you can get right now. It's fast and it's convenient. Go try one out...I think you'll agree.(i love having no cd's floating around the car now and no cables hanging all over the dash...clean and i'm satisfied)

...a 20-30 dollar cable to connect the iPod to the head unit. Lots of retailers give it away with the unit. You'll also need a satellite tuner, but you should still make your budget.
