Best "budget" non-digital 35 MM

A photographer's haven for the lastest in digital or traditional film cameras.

My girlfriend is going on a cruise in the next month or two and would like to purchase a new camera. She needs something that is easy to use, has versatile features and takes the best pictures that $200 - $225 will buy. She said that it's okay if it costs less than that too : )
She will probably end up buying at Best Buy or Circuit City, so if you are familiar with what they have or are closing out, that might help. Any and all constructive comments welcome and highly appreciated. Sean
