On cruises, look for compact, water resistant designs.
Canon makes a few. I think it is the "One shot" or something of that nature. I have bought from a reliable mail order place, B&H in New York. The website is www.bhphotovideo.com and I have actually been to the store during a recent trip. Top notch operation, incredibly efficient.
