You might have to shell out some cash for a camera that can take close up images. Those cheap fixed focus cameras under $200 just don't cut it, and you will never get an image of a phono cartraige with one of those things.
How many Ebay auctions have you seen with blown out over flashed masses of blur excuses for photos? Too damn many!
A decent Nikon CoolPix or Canon Elph digital, for example, will be over $500 or so.
You might want to go used, but look for something with good auto focus. I recall a Kodak dit cam from some years back that did well with close up. It was a $1,000 camera then but now should be very cheap since it wasn't a "mega pixel" camera. Fine resolution for internet use.Rather than spilling $500 on a dit cam, maybe you'll be better off sticking with film for now. You can order your prints to be digitized during processing for an extra few bucks. Kodak processing offers this service, with low rez scans perfect for internet use costing two or three bucks extra per roll.
