Then again the Nikon 4300 has additional lenses that can be attached. I got a 4300 for Christmas because I decided that additional lenses made more sense for me over manually adjusting shutter speed and aperature settings. And it does have override settings for automatic aperature/shutter choices like near-far field, portraits, sports & such. Damn, even on my 35MM Minolta I almost never use the purely manual settings but I do play with lenses and filters a bit.
