I had a friend with an altered dragster and a few times his wife and i were his pit crew.
One afternoon there were also some drag bikes running including a "tiny" 440cc bike. It had a (rupp i think) snow mobile engine which have a cvt.
It sounded awful (normal for a 2 stroke with open expansion chambers) but was the fastest bike there all afternoon, even over some all out V twin fuel bikes.
We had many discussions and doodles based on "what if" on his Altered, he chose a turbine rail for his next step.
