A few years back, I had just recieved my half case allocation of Dowling Family Vinyard's Fly By Night zinfandel, maybe the 2003.
The Wine Specatator arrived with a big zinfandel issue and probably rated over 100 different ones.
At the bottom, with 63 points, was the Fly By Night. I think the wine scoring right above it was in the high 70s. I'd never seen a wine with a score that low.
I tasted it and it was terrific - one of my favorites zinfandels of that vintage.
I wrote WS a letter and gave them a hard time about it and said they must have tasted a bad bottle. They said they tasted more than one so they had to be right.
Let me know what you think of the Siduri.
