I've had them both over the years. Very intense wines. Sweet, but like sauternes, shouldn't be cloying. The great thing about them is the tremendous varieties of flavors you will experience, sip by sip. I've had very few other wines with the complexity and long finish of these wines. You might want to try an auslese eiswein first. Much of the complexity but slightly less sweet."Acres Verde" is correct in that a little goes a long way. But because of their high sugar content they will last quite a while in the refrigerator after being opened.
By the way, they're not from the Rhone valley in France. They're German wines, typically from the Mosel or Rhein areas.
