Tried Osborne Solaz - 2000 - 80% Tempranillo - 20% Cabernet - Product of Spain. Very different. It was $7.50 at a big store that has very low prices so I would call it an $8.50. It's pretty light which was surprising to us. A little too light for our tastes. We had just tried Rosemount and Jacobs Creek before this which were very typical, fruity, easy to drink, not too cheap tasting but pretty uninteresting. The Osbourne was more interesting but just not enough. It's less fruity and little smoky. I suppose the lightness would go well in some circumstances. I still like the Fetzer Syrah the best in this price range. It has all the ingredients, just isn't as refined as a more expensive variety. What do you think about these mixes? I'm not so sure it's a good idea.
