I'm waiting for the Pinot Noir expose myself. I drank a glass of 1990 DRC Echezeax last night and it sure didn't remind me much of Bien Nacido! It was decadent, more decadent than any other wine I've had this side of the wines at our blind tasting a couple of weeks ago. I may never go back to the California Pinot again.
Sue, the Munich book fair sounded like fun but if I went I'd probably just look at the pictures, not reading German at all (I'm trying to improve my English too). All that gothic writing tires my eyes out. I am sorry to hear about the departure of Kay for a higher plane. I keep looking out for mentions about a balloon accident but all I've seen so far was a press release from the Napa Valley Wine Train Company talking about how much safer trains are than hot air balloons. Kay will be particularly missed because, unless I'm mistaken, The Wine Asuylum has the highest percentage of female participants of any of the online wine boards (I think that there's about four of us in all). We need to stick together to make the wineboards safe for women.
