>I'll be trying a bottle of Seghesio Zinfandel Sonoma County 2007 this year. It seems to be temporarily in short supply as it was rated #10 on the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2008 list.>

The latest issue of Wine Spectator I received Saturday gave it 93 points which is pretty good considering they won't rate a zin over 95. I'm going to look for it tomorrow - fortunately they make a lot of it.

>Another nice one to try is the Seth Kunin Pape Star 2005 which is a Central Coast Rhone style blend. I found it at my local Whole Foods.>

Don't know that one, but I'm afraid a Rhone-style might be a little too big and not fruity enough for turkey dinner.

>The Prisoner, a Zinfandel blend, is another nice choice. I've tried both the 2005 and 2006 but not the current 2007 release. Along the same line is The Phantom from Bogle. Similar style, but priced about $20.00 per bottle.>

I've had a little of this at a restaraunt in Napa last year and really liked it but haven't seen it in any local stores.

>A nice inexpensive everyday drinking red that I like is the Domaine Famille Ligneres La Baronne Rouge 2003 which is a Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre blend.>

Sounds good. A similar one I like is Ferrari-Carano's Sienna (Sangiovese and Malbec) around $20 (list $30) at Costco when it's in stock.
