Here's a "surprise" photo op that I encountered while driving the North Cascades Highway (Washington State) last week-end. The day was overcast and it was getting late. I had just made it past the overlook up above Diablo Reservoir when I decided to turn back to Seattle. As soon as the car was heading back down the steep grade three deer appeared in the road before me. One was in the middle of the road and running back to the side. The photo above is the cleanest of several that I took. At the link below I have two other different shots (not of deer) taken on this particular drive.
