Armed for Freaking Bear......

Posted by John EH on April 20, 2006 at 03:38:14:

I took every frigging lens, every filter, tripod, expodisc to the Aquarium in Okinawa Japan today and as soon as I got to the place (an hour and a half from home) I realized I forgot the most important thing for the Nikon D70. A compact flash card.

The gift shop actually sold CF cards but I wasn't going to pay $40 for a 64 meg card. Fortunately, one lesson I learned from experience was to carry a pocket cam or backup cam when you're far from home.

My Canon SD400 saved this day. I would have been sick with no camera. This shot wasn't too bad for a point and clicky. I'd have sure loved to nail it with a DSLR though.
