Re: 'panasonic FZ 20K' Here's My Take On Them:

Before I bought my Olympus 8080 Wide Angle Zoom, I was quite interested in them and did inspect them closely at a dealers showroom. So these are my impressions.
What I really liked was that Leica lens and that 12X Zoom. But when you have that powerful of a lens you really need an Image Stabilizer, which, thank God, they have.
This is what I didn't like about it and is what kept me from buying one. The body is made of plastic. The EVF viewfinder was just as bad as my former FujiFilm FinePic 4900 Zoom I just got rid of. They are very difficult to see through in bright sunlight or in darkness.
The Olympus 8080 has one of the best EVF viewfinders I've seen.
I would really like to be able to buy the Panasonic DMC-LC1 but it's EVF viewfinder is just as bad and it's a $1500 camera. They should have used the same kind of viewfinder that's on the old 35 mm. Leica M film cameras.
But don't take my word on it. Is seems that the buyers that have written reports on the FZ 20 are quite pleased
