What size SD card?

Posted by John K on July 21, 2004 at 06:07:48:

I'm not much of a photographer, just family stuff, and most all of that is done by my wife.

She wants a digital camera. After doing a little browsing the Kodak DX 6440 looks good to me. Primarily because it will take either standard batteries or recharageable batteries and can be purchased with a charging stand/computer conduit. The fact that my wife can use it and return it to its charging stand is a big plus for me.

Anyway, it appears that SD cards run $30-$50 for 32 meg to 256 meg. So there is little price differential for 32 to 256 meg.

Are there any other factors, other than price, that I should be considering in an SD card? Can you get a card that is too big or too small?
