Greatest whites you ever tasted...

Posted by jimbill on November 16, 2005 at 17:17:23:

I'm 80% reds in my drinking. But I've noticed alot of other wine drinkers turn their noses up at whites. When I mention that some of the greatest wines I've ever had were whites, they are astounded. By the way, most of these people think I'm a wine expert/snob.

Haut Brion Blanc. Forget the vintage but remember tasting it and walking to the back of the store and still tasting it.

German Eiswein. Once again I was in college, working a wine tasting for the store and they poured this. Not sure of the vineyard or the vintage, but we were serving our finest customers. Every sip was a new taste explosion.
