1988... i would highly recommend you replace all fuel and oil lines. My 1985 car here... well.. let us just say i have seen videos of like-cars of near the same age burn to the ground due to aged fuel lines.
The rubber outside hose may look ok, but inside they could be on the verge. Especially while under pressure.
