For Bukowski fans...or maybe not?

Have pretty much most of Bukowski work. Being "into" him for many years, and believing that he is one of "the Best" american moderns, i took a brake from reading only him (maybe i was too much into it?)/ So i strayed, and went for John Fante, Dan Fante (his son), Celine, Camus and even Kerouac.
Now i find Bukowski work: Anemic!
Ham on Rye, i fell asleep reading it. Boring! Same thing with "Hot Water Dance" i found, i am ashamed to say this, STUPID! Why?Now there are few poems that i still favor, and enjoy reading over and over, even memorizing them. But over all i unfortunately doubt Bukowski will
survive the test of TIME!Anyone experianced the same about their favorite autor?
