Anyone using Nikon VR lenses?

Posted by Flash on March 10, 2004 at 04:48:36:

Hi,

I just purchased an AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6GIF lens for use with a D-100 body. How can I tell if VR is operating when I turn it on? The manual mentions a vibration and/or a vibration in the viewfinder and I feel or see nothing. I have compared photos taken at long shutter speeds at the edge of blurriness with VR turned on and off and notice no difference. How can I tell if I need to return this product?

Thanks in advance!

Mike Floersch
