Well found the trouble, took a tech manual to show that there is a rubber balloon valve in the carb housing. this controls the pumping action for the fuel pump, mine was missing, and pumping high pressure into the carb from the crankcase, (could be why I got the engine for $50.00). Runs fine now, good idle, good pickup.
