Ken how many screws are there holding this carb together? I count seven screw holes. Do you have seven screws? Next if that screen is clogged fuel will back up and run out the small hole. This is a vent hole. Most vents have a small tube attached to the outside of the carb body. Back to the screen: soak the entire carb in carb cleaner. remove the idle mixture screws main jet etc. Soak all of it. Get the proper carb kit for this carb. If no new screen is in the kit very gently clean the screenwith a soft toothbrush and carb cleaner. Take a small stiff wire and run it through all the openings for jets idle screws etc. to clear them spray air or cleaner through all these holes and passageways in the carb body. reassemble per instructions with proper gaskets and screws tighten screws with a good screwdriver which fits the screws. reinstall the carb start motor and adjust the mixture screw{s} Goodluck, TG.
