I have a 14 foot 36 inch beam jon boat that weighs about 150 pounds empty. I run it with a 1988 Evinrude 9.9hp motor with good results for river fishing. With myself(200lbs), my wife (150lbs), the motor(80lbs) and the gas tank aboard it will plain out. Subtract my wife from the equation and it is downright scarry to ride in.
