Hello all,My name is Bow and I am in Houston, Texas...
I want a project and want a boat...sounds like a good reason for a Boat project! ;)
I am looking for a 16'-20' Aluminium Boat hull...probably a V hull.
I wnat to put to berths in it [V-berth] and probably a small one burner stove. Porta-potti... basically make a Small cruiser/camper out of it. I am hoping to stumble across an old aluminium V-hull somewhere real cheap.I am interested in doing an inboard motor and was wondering if it is possible to use a Briggs and Stratton/Kohler/etc. V-Twin 12-20 HP motor to do it? I am not looking for speed, just a decent setup for fuel economy and reliability. I was wondering if anyone has tried it?
I know the Aircooling could be a problem, and if I can find a small liquid cooled motor, I may be able to use a Keel Cooler setup...Any thoughs, advise or comments on idea for this project?
Any Ideas on where to find a cheap hull?
Thanks.
Bow
