I have a 19' outboard bay fishing boat and use it during my vacations in Florida. We rent a home on a canal just off Sarasota Bay and the boat is kept in the water for two 30-day periods each year. Every 10 days, I had to pull the boat and pressure wash the barnacles off the hull and metal parts.Has anyone played around with a way to isolate a boat from the salt water by building a floating cage that can be filled with fresh water? Obviously, the desire is to prevent barnacles from getting at the boat and metal parts.
The device need not be overly durable, but made from inexpensive and light-weight parts like visqueen and floats.
Thanks,
John L
