I had a Bob's Big Foot, very similar, on my Mariner 115. It definitely gave me a boost pulling skis, but it seemed to take about 2 or 3 MPH from top end and lost a little stability around 55 or 60, I took it back off, especially since I haven't pulled skis now in several years. Mounting under the cav plate is the only way to go. The ones that bolt directly to the sides of the plate risk a lot more damage than the full cross type. If you need a little low and mid-range boost, I think you'll like it.
