I spend my summers on a big lake (Lake Okanagan), and am always offended when I hear the roar of some dork a mile away down the lake shattering the calm for what seems an eternity.You are probably a wonderful person, but maybe posting this query on a site devoted to people whose hobby is listening carefully is not the right place.
(Is there a site for jet boats, leaf blowers, and Mustangs with bad mufflers?)
