Re: Seahawk II Motor Mount fittings

Sorry about the delay in responding to this post, but no, I haven't been able to think of a way. And thats been bugging me for a while now. I was thinking of buying a trolling motor, but for the simple reason of not having any motor mount fittings, I haven't bought one yet.
Now I have been racking my brain for a while and taking recons through the neighborhood Lowes and Home Depots but haven't been able to come up with anything yet.
Does the Sevylor motor mount fit the Seahawk II? I really need to take some measurements this weekend.
I have also been thinking of attaching some kind of a transom to the end of the boat . There are two ways I can think of.
1. An 'J' shaped apparatus that when inverted hooks over the end of the boat.
2. a 'C' shaped apparatus that clenches around the end of the boat.
The J shaped apparatus when inverted, would stay in place simply by the weight of the motor.
The C shaped apparatus would fit more like a sleeve around the end and might have to be held in place by clamps. Also, if the fit is right these could be held in place before the boat is inflated and when the boat is inflated, the pressure of the inflated boat would then hold it in place.
Once I have some kind of a frame at the end of the boat, it would then be easier to attach another transom(read: plank) to which the motor attaches.
Any ideas on this?
