I think a vest is more practical for my style of shooting and what I carry, but I use the Lowepro SF pouches to attach my 300 f4 and other heavy lenses to my Trekker backpack.

When tranferring to the vest for use, the heavy lenses are always the big headache, but with one of these AND a vest it would be GREAT!
