Hi all!I'm searching for a new camera for my wife for Xmas. She wants:
35mm Rangefinder type
Zoom lens from approx 35mm to 100mm or thereabouts
Red-eye reduction
Auto Focus
Timer
Decent optics
Price range of $100 - $200She doesn't want an SLR because she feels there too bulky and complicated. I've tried many times to interest her in an SLR, but to no avail. I have a Canon F1 with several Canon FD lenses, and she's used it on occasion and does well with it, but she wants a 35mm rangefinder nonetheless.
She currently has a Minolta Freedom 125 that needs a new circuit board after 1 1/2 years. I don't think the 125 is worth the cost to fix it, plus she's not been all that thrilled with the optics quality. She thinks it's ok, but she'd like better.
So what say you, gurus of cameras? Can you give me some suggestions?
I appreciate it!
regards,
Larry
