B+W specialise in larger filters intended for larger format cameras and as they are probably made to tighter tolerances, you will pay a premium price. Their coatings may also differ.
You will probably not notice any difference unless you enlarge your pictures considerably...you may then notice some slight differences.
Hoya SMC filters are excellent, I have used them for a considerable amount of time with excellent results.
I would go for a 1a or 1b as the UV filter is basically just plain glass....1a and 1b have a slight yellow tinge 1b is stronger. You will not notice the difference between the two so readily with SMC filters.
