Failing battery (or charger?) for Nikon D50.

My battery is suddenly failing to hold a charge on my D50. I checked the Nikon site & my battery is not on the recall list (M5AAA). It's a EN-EL3a. Would it have worn out after 2 years of moderate use? I always totally discharge it before recharging completely.

Any ideas? TIA!

YES.- he's dead Jim- You should never run it down to discharge you killed it, these are diff batteries - Joe M 06:56:39 11/14/07 (0)
