I went through similar problems with my Canon G5, and fixed it with a new 20D. My granddaughter plays hockey, and trying to catch anything with the G5 and a tele extender was an exercise in frustration. Hockey is still a challange to photograph, it moves so fast, but at least with the 20D, I have a fighting chance. Since I got it, I have rediscovered photography. It has forced me once again to think about light and shadow, metering patterns, etc. The opposite of a point and shoot. The LCD gives me instant feedback and each picture is a lesson. So the learning curve is very steep. But the results are to the point of being gratifying.Jerry
