As I mentioned to R B, I might be better of with one of the 'prosumer' devices, rather than a pseudo SLR. Whom am I trying to kid? I just want great shots of our children as they're growing up.

I've had a look at this site. Quite frankly, I need a camera that'll be 'good enough' to not be out of its depth before it breaks down and dies.
