I am looking for some advice on cameras, digital or analog, still-photo or movie-type. I would like to be able to send video tapes to distant relatives, and be able to email photos to relatives and friends that are within a few hours drive and have email accounts.
My ideal camera would be a movie camera with software that would allow still photos to be captured from it. This camera would be small, with small tapes that can be used with a VHS "converter tape". Does such a thing exist? If not, are there any suggestions on camera types or brands to look for, or avoid?
