I like my 990. It's a bit weird with the flash. If it's not ready, it doesn't always warn you and I seem to get pics I think I got, but they're black. One day I'll figure that out.Nasty with red eye, but that's easily fixed digitally. Other than that, yes, gotta get a couple sets of batteries which are getting cheaper. I got a deal on a set and charger and then zapped the charger trying to use it with a step down transformer in Germany. Oh well, I needed a backup set of batteries.....and a couple extra 64MB cards.....and a card reader.......the accessories with kill you.
