Ask next time. I'm sure that someone, some where, might have had good luck with "store brand" film, but I can't find one (including myself) offhand, who can say that.

I tried a couple of rolls (around home, as a test) several times when somebody INSISTED that the stuff was "ok".

One time, the person just said "oh. dear." and tried to pay me back for the film. (I bought it, it's not their fault, really) The other person (a store person) insisted that my camera meter was bad. That would be very peculiar, since it works great for Kodak, Fuji, and Ilford films, and in fact ONLY failed on two different rolls of this store crap, both of which looked like they had age fog.

I'm sorry about your vacation. If you find Fuji Press 800 or NHG2 800 in APS, that's about as good as I know of. Maybe Kodak will put their new "Supra" press film into APS. That would be nice.

Nowdays I buy film exclusively from B&H Photo or Unique Photo (B&H is better, Unique is down the street from work). Go to www.bhphotovideo.com, click on film, then APS, and see what they carry. Basically, if it exists, they almost always have it, and their prices are usually known to be good, too.
