I just bought the 2004 model of the Seahawk 400 Sport. It is now called Seahawk II.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have any fittings for the motor mount on either of the ends. It only has a grab handle at each end. Would the commercially available motor mounts attach to the grab handle?
Also, from what you've mentioned,I gather that the seats in the earlier model have clips. The new model does not have clips. The seats are of the 'push in' type, and keep sliding about when sat on. This makes rowing next to impossible.
I am planning to make a wooden plank seat, myself. I found some planks in the local Home Depot, but was afraid of punctures from the wood splinters. But I guess that problem could be solved by wrapping the plank with a rubber sheet. I was wondering how to attach the plank to the raft in such a way as to make the plank immovable. I wonder if drilling holes in the plank and tying it to the holes through which the grab line goes, would solve this.
Any help with these problems would be appreciated. Also if you have any pictures of how the motor mounts are attached to the raft, I would appreciate it if you'd mail them to me/send me a link.

By the way I have the 2004 Seahawk Sport 400 with an electric trolling motor and it has motor mount fittings, the 2004 Seahawk II seems to be a different model from Intex.

Yeah, I've seen that one, however, I don't know if it has motor mounts or not. My raft has rubber holders attached to the stern, the motor mount, from Intex, hooks into these, and has extended arms on-top that hook into the holes in the oar-locks. I believe you have swivel oarlocks, which are not the same as mine. The bad news is that the motor mount will not fit your boat!
You may be able to glue some sort of davit/ring setup to your boat on which a support could be attached...
Perhaps you can try to get some info from Intex themselves, or find some other third party, which is going to be a task. It seems there's not much info about this model of boat, or mine for that matter! Lots of people selling them, just no helpful info, user comments, and or experiences/opinions. Maybe, someone should start a forum for this boat...
I'll do some more research, and post back here if I find something :-)
Regarding the seats, my seats are pretty much useless to me, as I mentioned in my previous post, the rowing seat keeps popping from the clips whenever I sit on it, works for the kids though. If you visit the SeaEagle(.com) site you will see in the options/seats, that they have a simple bench seat that attaches to the grabline, via holes drilled in the seat. I am going to try to replicate the same, I'll post back here with info when I'm done.

  I looked at the bench seat which is tied to the grabline. I intend making something similar to that. But I wonder how 'fixed' its gonna be if its simply tied down. I don't have a motor on my boat yet, so I need something thats really fixed while I row(actually, I'm new to boating and rowing too, and still not very good at it. If anyone has links on how to row a small boat efficiently I'd appreciate that too as I was stuck in the middle of a windy lake surface for nearly an hour last weekend. Was tempted to leave the boat there and swim back to shore)
  And regarding information about the Seahawk, you're absolutely correct. There's little or no information about it online. We really should start a forum for this. I really needed a slightly bigger boat. But I just went by one post on this forum which said that the Seahawk 500 punctured easily. I wrote to another person on this forum who said he was thinking of buying the 400 sport. He said he had bought one and was quite happy with it, so I went for that model.
