I have never seen red eye like I get with the G2, I downloaded a free red eye removal action for Photoshop from Fred Miranda’s Photo web site. The advice Des gave you seems as good so give that a try. Also when you take your flash shots get the subject to look directly at the red eye reduction light that comes on before the flash fires, this helps a bit.

Des advice works too...I just tried it .....there are several ways to get photoshop to work for you....and you learn new ones everyday!
Seems to me G2's and G3's have hot shoes.Adding a flash and bounce card raises the height of the flash tube ,which effectively eliminates light from directly entering the pupils and causing the red-eye effect.DUH !
1 Zoom in on eye and select with Elliptical Marquee tool--draw oval around Iris.( I'd set Feather say for 1 pixel)
2 Hold Shift and repeat this for other Iris.
3 Press Com -H to hide the Ants-- if they bother ya!
4 Go to Image> Adjustments> Channel Mixer
5 In Dialog box set as follows--Red 0---Green+50%---Blue+50%--Constant 0
6 Click OK.Voila!
I retouch red eye - first I magnify the eye area 100%. Then with the clone tool I choose a circle size shape that fits around the redeye. I look for a darker area close to eye color and make a selection for cloning into eye area.
