This is Julia Pfeiffer Burns grove in Big Sur.It's from a 6x7 Velvia. It does look better bigger.

Follow Ups:
1. the hot spot on the upper left is distracting.2. the trees are not well balanced compositionally.
3. although the concept of the long exposure running-water is good and you got Velvia to do it's long-exposure thing, the image does not draw me in mostly because it's to busy.
Very saleable image, try to market that one! If I may add one caveat, and I know no one asked me, tone down that hot spot over on far left , half way up tree trunk.
Stick to one moniker, please!

I'm an amateur. I am not a pro, and have no intention to become one. My last two hobbies turned into major research fields. NO MORE!Oh, and yes, the print in my living room has several spots burnt in quite a bit, you've got that idea very right. The film was on the edge of both burning and blocking.

It used to be said that people take more care over their compositions with a larger camera, do you find this is the case? I bet that does look great bigger, it’s hard to see our picys posted here knowing they have lost a little something in the downsizing. Big Sur is a picy taking paradise isn't it? You must have taken loads there.

This is the center of the image at 1128 dpi, no reduction.Pretty good for a 4 second shutter speed. The softness is partially the scanner and in some branches due to breeze. Just fyi.

& you're saying there are better lenses out there. I would be well pleased with that.
I hope I haven't frightened Joe off.

A big, slow, clunky camera really does get you to settle down and do a lot better composition. I get a much higher keeper rate with my 6x7 than I do with 35mm, despite the much better lens set for the 35. I mean, WHO can afford the Pentax 800mm for the 6x7?That's what I spend on a car every 10 years!
