Rcommendations for best digital cam under $500, and Mac compatible

Looking for good digital camera that will work well with Imac (g4). Any recommendations or opinions? Thanks in advance.

Pretty much all digitals will work with Mac's. I use a Nikon 950 with my Dual 450 G4. I think that the Nikon 975-995 coolpix use Firewire connection which would be way faster on a mac.
