Well I love the D1x, but Nikon View is a buggy piece of garbage and Capture not much better IMO. Capture takes forever to process RAW format images even on a 667mhz G4 Powerbook. (200MB RAM allotted!!)What gives?? Or am I just wrong?
Follow Ups:
Yeah, I got a card reader and then I upgraded motherboards and had usb ports so I loaded Nikon View. It seems to work ok in W2K to view the pics on the camera and copy and delete them. Then I use Corel Photo-Paint and if I was really into it, I'd probably get the Adobe software, but all I do is crop and scale pics and Corel does that ok.
Ed does a pretty good job.

You think Nikon is bad?
Wait til you meet Canon. Perhaps they all went to the same school.
You're definitely correct- it's crap. I had done enough homework before buying my Nikon digitals to not even bother loading it. A flash reader is the way to go, and leave the shrink on the Nikon CDs until you upgrade- the new owner will be thrilled...
